Grabbing it will turn Mario bigger, instantly putting a smile on the player's face. The really interesting part is when he hits the Question Block containing the Super Mushroom. The opening scene features Mario stomping on a Goomba. World 1-1 is arguably the most iconic video game stage of all time. Power-ups are a staple in the Mario franchise, and it all started with one: the Super Mushroom.
